My passion is understanding the inner workings of living things, from “how do cells work together to create a complex organism?” to “how do we know if animals experience joy or fear?”.
Fresh out of high school, I dove head first into life sciences, getting a Masters degree in biology and physiology, then eventually specializing in animal behavior and wildlife biology. After many years working in the not-for-profit sector in the UK, I transitioned to the corporate world and the veterinary industry where I worked mainly in marketing and communications.
As I reached my forties, married and the mother of a young child, the feeling of being completely lost in my identity and my life became too loud to ignore. After taking some time off to focus on my needs and getting back in touch with who I was (and of course many hours of therapy) I finally realized I had to find my way back to what I’m most drawn to : understanding human psychology and behavior, and helping others live more full-filling lives.
Born into a bicultural and bilingual family, I grew up in an international environment where speaking two languages in the same sentence was the norm. Today I love and cherish the richness it brings to my life yet I have learned to accept the feeling of never truly belonging anywhere whilst embracing both halves.
